Free school meals

Information released by the Children’s Society show that there are approximately 600 children living in poverty in Corby and East Northamptonshire that are not getting free school meals.

This represents 23% of all the children living below the poverty line in my constituency.

Making sure every child can get a decent meal in the middle of the school day is essential.

I have therefore written to the Secretary of State for Education to ask what he is doing to ensure that all children who are entitled to receive free school meals are getting them.
