Dear Andy, there has been a lot of comment re A&E at Kettering but has anyone checked the remedial operations that have to be carried out after botched operations? My hip operation at the end of January this year resulted in a dropped foot and nerve crush in 2 places. It took the hospital 3 months to organise a nerve trace and further surgery in May to try to free trapped nerves in my hip and knee. I work as an education inspector and all this means that I have off work for ober 4 months. My foot is still dropped and the hospital doesn’t seem at all bothered. So I went in with one problem (routine hip replacent) and came out with a worse one.
