Irthlingborough Junior School are “Good”

Irthlingborough Junior School

Today I visited Irthlingborough Junior School to celebrate the school’s recent ‘Good’ Ofsted report.

The banner has been created by the school to say thank you to parents, carers, governors, teachers and the children for all their hard work and support.

Under the new, stricter Ofsted inspection criteria schools need to meet higher standards in all categories.

Mrs Susan Drake, Head Teacher, Irthlingborough Junior School said:

“We are incredibly proud of our report which highlights how well the children achieve and behave at our school. Our staff and governors have worked tirelessly to ensure that all children enjoy their education and the challenges of learning. We will continue to build on the school’s success”.

I’m delighted that Irthlingborough Junior School have received a Good rating by Ofsted and everyone at the school should feel proud of this achievement.

In Corby and East Northamptonshire we have great children who want to succeed. To do so they need the resources, like committed staff and good facilities.

In Irthlingborough Junior School the children have both and I am keen to support all of our schools to make sure all children have the best possible education.
