Help your local football team win a new kit

150th Parliamentary Reception

I am very pleased to offer a football team in Corby and East Northamptonshire a new Nike kit worth £500. The kit is being funded by the Football Association.

I know there are lots of great local teams across the constituency, of all ages and abilities. Deciding who most deserves the kit would be more difficult than picking the England squad for Brazil, so I want local people to decide.

To kick-off the competition I am first inviting constituents to nominate a team they would like to see win the kit. After collecting the nominations I will then launch a public vote for the residents of Corby and East Northamptonshire to pick the winner.

To enter your local team in to the competition, please email me at with the following information:

  • the name of the football team

  • a contact name and email address of someone at the team

  • how long the team has existed

  • what league the team plays in

  • where the team plays their home games

  • 50 words on why the team deserves the new kit

  • your name and postal address in Corby and East Northamptonshire

All teams must play their home games in the Corby and East Northamptonshire constituency and nominations must be received by Friday 20th December. I will announce the beginning of the vote early in the new year.
