Putting passengers first

In Parliament on Wednesday I introduced a Bill that will permit a public operator on our railways. I was delighted that MPs voted in favour of my Bill, and lots of constituents got in touch to share their support. In my speech, which you can watch here or read here, I highlighted the different experiences constituents have on the railways. Corby and East Northamptonshire is served by both private and public operators – but fares are increasing almost twice as fast on the East Midlands Train line from Corby as on the East Coast line from Peterborough, which is used by many East Northants residents.

The next step is to show the Government that lots of people want a public rail operator. If you support my Bill, please add your name to my petition below which I will soon present to the Government.
